MIRAI INTEX s.r.o. has begun a collaboration with Brno University of Technology (BUT), one of the leading technical universities in the Czech Republic.

The aim of this partnership is to provide students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering with practical experience and to deepen their knowledge in the field of industrial refrigeration. The collaboration seeks to inspire graduates to develop a stronger interest in the field and to support the start of their professional careers by creating exciting job opportunities in Brno.

However, this cooperation is not entirely new for either partner. "Rather, we wanted to build on our previous experiences and establish a longer-term concept," explains Vladyslav Tsyplakov, Business Development Director of MIRAI INTEX. "We had already been in contact with Jiří Hejčík, PhD, an assistant professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, and we had the opportunity to welcome him and several of his colleagues from BUT. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic severely curtailed all our activities, so it was time not only to renew but also to expand our cooperation."

MIRAI INTEX develops and manufactures industrial cooling systems using air-based technology. The company was founded in Switzerland, but in 2017, all development and production were moved to Brno. The company currently has hundreds of installed cooling units worldwide. MIRAI INTEX primarily focuses on projects in the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries, but MIRAI technology can also be used, for example, in microchip production or coating technology. A significant advantage of MIRAI technology is its use of air as a refrigerant, which is readily available and completely environmentally friendly. As a result, MIRAI does not have to worry about the restrictions imposed by the European Union on the use of non-organic fluorinated gases, which have a high global warming potential. On the contrary, it offers a sustainable technology that guarantees a long-term future.

One of the first steps in this cooperation is the involvement of MIRAI INTEX experts in teaching at BUT. "As part of the study block on the thermodynamics of cooling devices, MIRAI INTEX experts will prepare a lecture on the topic of ultra-low temperature air-based cooling technology. This lecture will provide students with a detailed insight into the latest technologies and trends in this sector, including practical applications and innovations," explains Hejčík.

In addition to theoretical knowledge, studies at BUT also emphasize practical experience. Therefore, the faculty strives to provide students with excursions to production plants. "In the case of a visit to MIRAI INTEX, students will have the opportunity to see our facility and also visit our state-of-the-art cold room. This excursion will allow them to better understand the principles and applications of the technologies they are studying," Tsyplakov elaborates.

As part of the newly established cooperation with BUT, MIRAI INTEX also intends to actively support students' diploma theses. The company offers expert guidance and consultation to help students with their research and the preparation of their final theses.

Moreover, they are planning to organize internships for students in higher education in the future. These internships will provide valuable work experience, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and preparing them for their future careers. Interns will have the opportunity to work on real projects, gain practical skills, and collaborate with MIRAI INTEX experts.

Both parties are looking forward to a successful collaboration and to the new opportunities and benefits that this partnership will bring to both BUT students and MIRAI INTEX. Together, they aim to contribute to the development of technical knowledge and skills that are key to innovation and progress in refrigeration technology.
